In learning to make the most of what parenthood brings, you can give your children the best possible base to be themselves.

Sharon is the mother of three grown daughters and has two beautiful grandchildren. Due to family circumstances she played a large role in bringing up her own siblings…parenting has always been a large part of her life! The joys and tribulations of all those dedicated years have brought her solid experience and a deep wish to share all she knows with other parents, children and siblings……family truly is the basis of our society!

While working with children for over 15 years, she has come to see common factors in much parenting that when addressed, lead to speedy and often surprising improvements and when ignored, can lead to problems.

Based on addressing these very fundamental issues with ease and grace, all the parenting workshops and seminars are about becoming happier with one’s choices as parents. Consequently one rediscovers the freedom of making new choices no matter what one’s previous conditioning is. She helps each parent find her/his own truth about parenting, encouraging independence and creativity, as there are as many ways to be a father or mother as there are fathers and mothers.

The Parenting Process: OUR CHILDREN - AN AMAZING GENERATION

It's very clear that the young people of today have come with a special energy about them.....
we see it in their clarity, their decisiveness, their "old soul" eyes.
We also see it in their difficulties, their rebellion, their illnesses....

Let's readjust ourselves to keep up with these future keepers of our planet. You can do it personally by reawakening parts of you that have fallen asleep over the years, and by going through a process that opens you to the new information, the new dynamics of family and society that our younger generation are preparing for, in fact, are demanding by their very presence.

This is a unique opportunity to make parenting many, many times richer than it already is.....and that's saying a lot!!

The Parenting Process goes over 8 sessions, in each one past patterns are cleared making way for new, very real and practical realizations. These are then implemented as "homework" at home over a few days, in preparation for the next cleansing/growing cycle of the next session.

The realizations are deeper understanding of the spiritual rightness of what can happen in a family, and how to reach the rightness. It's anchored in the practicalities of every day, as that is where we live out our deeper inner selves.

MOST importantly, that rightness becomes your daily bread, the daily ups and downs become important and full of really useful information for you and your child. Things run more smoothly, and best of all, it's all more FUN!

The core issues of discipline, attitude, communication, growth stages, priorities, letting go etc. are all faced squarely with such depth and lightness, that one is through the hard part and into the fun before one knows it.

Help, I Have a Teenager!

Teenager time is special, for the teen and for the parent. It only happens once--- how we deal with it makes a big difference to our child’s life, in the future as well as now.  We take an in-depth look at themes like:

-   the natural process your teen is experiencing; physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual

-   what is inevitable and what can be avoided

-   how to maintain the lines of communication open

-   making space without making an alien

-   how to maintain one’s integrity (sanity!)

-   dealing with anger and guilt feelings

-   the possible dangers; school problems, eating disorders, drugs, alcohol..

The aim of this workshop is to give you the strength of insight to meet the challenges of this very complex period in your child’s and your own life, without losing your sense of humour! We’ve all been through it, for better or for worse, and we all hope for our own children it will be for the better!

Workshop For Single Parents

The challenges of single parenthood are hard to understand unless one is living it oneself.

There is a very big difference between bringing up children on one’s own and sharing the whole process with a steady partner. Sharon has done both, 16 years with a partner and 11 years without. This workshop comes out of personal experience and much work with clients over the years. One of the common threads has clearly been a strong feeling of loneliness. Here we wish to show you that although a single parent, you are not alone!

This is for any parent who does not live with the father or mother of their child, regardless of who has custody, or if the other parent is not present at all.

You are guided with care to find a feeling of wholeness in your family, whatever your circumstances.

In this workshop we pay special attention to

- what your children need so that they feel whole also

- the unique experience of a child whose other parent simply is not there

- different rules in the two parent homes

- feelings of anger and resentment that get in the way

- creating open communication and cooperation between parent/parent and parent/child

- seeing the setup through your child's eyes

You will come out strengthened, with a fresh outlook and the tools to help your child to be strengthened and empowered by what he/she is living.

Workshop For Pregnant Mommies

A workshop of sharing and strengthening, and of course of celebrating your coming child!

In a fun and loving way, we will do inner work that will enhance

- trusting yourself, your body and the birth process

- the richness of your relationship with your baby

- listening to your baby

- recognizing your fears, finding their root, and releasing them

This workshop of inner preparation goes well with conventional or alternative physical preparation, bringing peace and confidence. You can have a beautiful and unforgettable birth, giving you and your child a happy start.

Workshop For Step-Parents

To literally “step” into a ready-made family is an enormous challenge, and I would say worthy of respect for the sheer courage it takes.

This workshop is about encouragement and speeding up the learning process, synchronizing your stepchild's needs with your own, recognizing how to keep priorities clear in a firm and loving way.

It’s often difficult for the rest of the family to integrate the new partner in such basic issues as authority, timetables, household habits, space etc. This workshop gives help and guidelines for all members of the family to make this integration as smooth as possible.

Parents of Grown-up Children.....Is This Still Parenting?

This very gentle and insightful workshop looks at questions like

- do you have a hard time letting go of your grown-up child?

- or have you let go so much he/she hardly seems part of the family?

- is the saying “Small children, small problems….big children, big problems true for you?

- why is it that we often lose that easy-going rapport we had with our small child as he/she grows up?

- when is our child “grown-up” ?

Here parents will explore the dynamics of that stage of parenthood when the child leaves home, or whose grown-up child is living with them. Our aim is to watch our children grow up with joy and freedom for all involved. This is not always the case as they take their own paths in life. Respecting our children’s choices can sometimes be the hardest thing to do. Here we may not be able to change these choices, but we may be able to find peace accepting them.
